The star of the show, that there Lara Croft lady. The characters are the weakest visual element so far, but I expect that’s at least partly a design decision. It avoids straying into the "uncanny valley" territory (which nobody needs in a celebratory remake of the first and probably best loved game in a franchise) and gives the cast a cartoony feel.
The other possibility is that it’s just down to budget or talent, but I prefer the friendlier explanation.

I can’t stop marvelling over the nice graphical touches. This whole scene looks quite lovely indeed, but on top of that you get out of the water with soaking wet clothes and skin (hell, you drip water and it flies off you if you start running) and everything dries over the next couple of minutes but in a gradual fashion, with the edges dry first on the top damp legs & shoes being the last to go.
The game is fun as well but damn there are some delightfully distracting visual effects.
